GaMEG lab is a research group leaded by dr. Marcin Magierowski, focused on the physiology, pathophysiology and pharmacology of gastrointestinal (GI) tract and GI disorders. We are especially interested in the possible implementation of endogenous gaseous mediators-releasing compounds into the GI pharmacology. We work on experimental in vitro and in vivo models using human-derived cell lines and laboratory animals. GaMEG lab is also establishing collaboration with clinically-oriented departments within Jagiellonian University.
GaMEG lab is settled in the Department of Physiology, Jagiellonian University Medical College. GaMEG lab fully covers Cellular Engineering and Isotope Diagnostics Lab (pol. Pracownia Inżynierii Komórkowej i Diagnostyki Izotopowej) with the Genetic Engineering Laboratory (GMM, class II) status and lab-animal facility located at the Department of Physiology, crucial for our scientific activity.
